General Assembly
The General Assembly is the central decision-making organ of the Alchemy and comprises representatives of the Alchemy member establishments. The General Assembly elects the Executive Board members and Executive Director, and decides on the activations of objectives on the basis of proposal from the Executive Board.
Executive Board
The Executive Director and Executive Board are elected by the General Assembly. The Executive board is responsible for all aspects of governance and management. It comprises of the Scientific Director and four further members elected by the General Assembly.
Scientific Advisory Board
Alchemy is supported by a Scientific Advisory Board consisting of internationally renowned experts in the field of Medicine. The Scientific Advisory Board consists of upto 12 persons from academia and industry. They are appointed for a term of four years by the General Assembly on recommendation by the Executive Board. The Scientific Advisory Board meets at least once per month and advises the Executive Board and General Assembly on all scientific and project operational issues.
Main Office
The Managing Director heads the Main office of Alchemy, located in Bucharest. The staff support the Board of Directors in its work. The task of the Managing Director and the Main Office staff includes organizing the project initiatives and Operations. Seven global development managers at the global sites support and co ordinate the colloboration with the Main office.
